Mail/Finishing Level 1
**Job Title:** Mail/Finishing Level 1 **Location:** Chicago, IL **Job Type:** Hourly Consultant **Hours:** 8 am to 4:30 pm M-F **Pay:** $19/hr Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds Able to stand and walk for long periods of time. **Candidate is required to be COVID Vaccinated.** **Flu Shots are required Annually** **Negative TB Test required** **This is a Medical Center** **Immunization proof of the following:** **Rubeola (measles)** **Mumps** **Rubella** **Varicella** **Candidate will be required to do blood work to ensure immunizations are up to date and may need to receive boosters if required** **Essential Functions:** • Excellent attendance required • Ability to multi-task and take direction • Receive, sort, and process incoming mail • Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled routes • Record and process accountable mail, maintain tracking logs • Track, trace, and resolve issues with USPS, express, and local deliveries • Prepare packages for outbound shipment; coordinate deliveries and pick-ups • Perform quality checks on outbound mail • Validate internal mail addresses and conduct address lookups • Complete shipping forms or enter information electronically as required • Perform document finishing such as folding and insertion • Assist with production finishing including coil binding, punching, cutting, bagging, and labeling • Apply postage and shipping labels using automated systems • Monitor and replenish mailroom supplies and inventory • Send and receive email communications • Operate, clean, and maintain all mail/shipping equipment; contact service providers as needed • Determine appropriate packaging based on output and job requirements **Skills:** • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds • Able to stand and walk for extended periods • Able to read, write, and follow instructions in English • Demonstrated PC and Internet skills, including: – Opening applications and managing file folders – Using Windows Explorer (or equivalent) to manage files – Sending and managing emails with attachments – Basic internet navigation and online searches • Introductory knowledge of MS Word (open/create documents, save, print) • Introductory knowledge of MS Excel (data entry, formatting, print/save workbooks) • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with minimal supervision • Accurate data entry skills **Experience:** • Prior experience delivering services in a client environment **Education:** • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
