Job Description
We are seeking a Mailroom Clerk/Runner to join our team. This position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Mailroom Clerk serves as a backup for outer county areas, which involves a significant amount of time spent driving and walking. While prior mailroom experience is preferable, we are open to candidates with strong organizational abilities and a strong work ethic. The role is time-sensitive, requiring a quick and efficient approach throughout the shift. The Mailroom Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mailroom services and will be expected to drive after the temp period. Ideal candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform mailroom duties including sorting, organizing, and delivering mail
• Drive to outer county areas to deliver mail and services as needed (after temp period)
• Ensure all mail and packages are processed and delivered promptly
• Maintain organized and accurate records of deliveries
• Provide backup support and perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Previous driving experience is required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR background check required)
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Dependable with excellent attendance
• Punctual, self-motivated, and trustworthy
• Positive attitude and adaptability
