ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

The Mail Associate\/Driver will receive inbound mail and packages as well as process outbound mail and packages. This position also performs mail runs and assists other staff members as required. This position also requires driving between our two Minneapolis locations and the post office.\n\nPick up mail from the main post office and return to the Minneapolis site using the company van.\nAbility to sort mail, packages and other items into categories according to established methods.\nBe responsible for x-ray scanning of all mail and packages and being proficient with suspicious package detection techniques.\nMake timely collection of outgoing mail (letters, parcels, U.S. Postal, interdepartmental), using cart or, for larger items hand truck or dolly.\nDeliver overnight mail.\nShip out products in a timely and accurate manner.\nPlacing all items in proper staging locations.\nManually load and load vehicles.\nPlacing delivered items in appropriate storage locations.\nPrepare items for processing, shipment or transportation.\nProvide support to certified shipping lead and integrated services site manager for all administrative, reporting and operational functions.\nResponds to client issues and ensures the appropriate escalation processes are followed by communicating issues to supervisor\/manager.\nEnter activity data in logs, maintain records.\nPrepare and process outbound courier shipments using computer or service provider's equipment.\nOther duties as assigned by integrated services site manager.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\n
\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nMinimum of 1-2 Mail services related experience preferred with knowledge of commonly used Office Services procedures.\n1-3 years experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel,).\nExcellent customer service skills; must possess a \"can do\" attitude.\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written.\nAbility to effectively work individually or in a team environment.\nCompetency in performing multiple functional tasks.\nAttention to detail.\nAbility to handle mail or hand cart, as well as flatbed.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\nCopier knowledge will be helpful.\nKnowledge of using UPS, FedEx, DHL shipping methods.\nAssertive and resourceful; self motivated; willing to ask questions and take initiative be able to communicate clearly.\nConsistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude.\n
