Mailroom Clerk
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Mailroom Clerk in Downtown Dallas. The Mailroom Clerk will play a crucial role in our corporate setting, executing a variety of clerical duties and tasks related to the management of mail distribution and processing. Responsibilities: • Organize and distribute incoming mail to employees • Implement a mix of manual and machine-assisted sorting techniques • Maintain an accurate log of all incoming mail in our internal system • Execute various clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying • Offer clerical assistance to other departments as required • Ensure timely handling and distribution of all mail • Maintain a well-organized and clean mailroom area • Undertake additional mailroom tasks as assigned • Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth mailroom operations • Stay abreast of the latest practices in mail handling and distribution. Requirements • Applicant must have at least 1+ years of experience in a similar role or a related field. • Proficiency in handling daily mail operations including sorting, distributing, and dispatching mail. • Ability to distribute incoming mail accurately and in a timely manner. • Knowledge and experience in maintaining activity logs is required. • Must have experience in performing clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing. • The candidate should be able to provide clerical support to other departments or teams when necessary. • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. • The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficiency in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, and photocopiers is required. • The candidate must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. • The candidate should have a professional attitude and appearance. • Knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles is a plus. • The candidate should be familiar with office management systems and procedures.
