Mailroom Site Manager

Key Responsibilities:\n\nCreate and document standard operating procedures for mail and package intake. Will work to analyze and provide guidance on PO box strategy and provide design recommendations for the mail center for optimal use\nCollect data for reports and prepare monthly reports. \nMaintain records and files. \nTrain, monitor and discipline employees. \nPrepare employee appraisals and evaluates employee performance. \nInterview candidates for open positions. \nAbility to demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills. \nAbility to deal with difficult or irate customer periodically. \nMaintain, review and update site Operations Manual. \nMaintain centralized employee database for mail processing, production reporting and tracking of deliveries and pick-ups. \nEducate client staff regarding available services. \nInteract with various vendors on client's behalf and maintain vendor relationships.\nReview departmental charges and post client chargeback's. \nReviewing and coding of courier invoices. \nEnsure priority handling of all incoming accountable deliveries including messenger packages. \nEnsure equipment is in good working order and have the ability to perform key operator maintenance. \nProper follow through to completion both verbally and in writing with client representative of any issues involving lost or delayed packages or any other service issues.\nMaintain inventory and oversee distribution of client office supplies \nInterface with the client contact daily and attend meetings as required. \nKeep Operations Manager informed of operational efficiencies and potential problems. \nResolve staff interpersonal conflicts. \nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

Qualifications: \n\nMust have an excellent working knowledge of mail, shipping, receiving & scanning. \nExcellent administration and computer skills. \nKnowledge of US Postal, UPS shipping and other shipping software as needed. \nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds. \nMust be flexible to adapt to changes and multi-task. \nAble to nurture and foster team work from subordinates and client. \nMust demonstrate leadership qualities. Able to set priorities and motivate others. \nMust have strong written and verbal communication skills. \nExcellent customer service skills and ability to deal with difficult or irate customer periodically. \nAbility to demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills.\nMust be able to perform the work of those whom they oversee.\n\n
