Mainframe Change & Release Management, Senior Associate

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Mainframe Change & Release Management team within the Consumer & Community Bank.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and an understanding of IT service management principles. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for managing the ongoing change and releases for various products under CCB Card line of business. This is a very crucial role ensure integrity of the various on-going releases as part of AGILE development to ensure timely release of features into production environment without any disruptions.

Job responsibilities:

Oversee the process of managing changes to the mainframe environment, ensuring that changes are documented, tested, and approved before implementation. Plan, schedule, and oversee the deployment of new releases, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Identify and mitigate risks associated with changes and releases. Ensure that all changes and releases comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to coordinate changes and releases. Maintain detailed records of changes, releases, and related activities. Identify opportunities to improve change and release management processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

In-depth understanding of mainframe systems, including IBM z/OS, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe technologies. Proficiency with change management and version control tools such as ChangeMan, CA Endeavor or similar. In depth understanding of a code base release coordination and management tool Cutover. Ability to build and manage Release deployments using Cutover Run book tasks. Familiarity with scripting languages as REXX, Easytrieve, XML and automation tools i.e., File-Aid, Sync sort, NDM. Proficiency in Jenkins, Mercury Cloud File Transfer, Cloud GOS Database used in mainframe environments. Knowledge of mainframe database systems like DB2, IMS, etc.
