Mainframe/Cobol Developer
Our client, a Fortune 500 financial client is seeking a Mainframe/Cobol Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a technical skills and mainframe Development experience and Java skills which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title: Mainframe/Cobol Developer** **Location: Atlanta GA** **Pay Range: Best in the segment on W2** **What’s the Job?** + Design, develop, test, and maintain Payments and Wires processing systems. + Develop applications using Middleware technologies such as MQ, messaging, batch, and web services (REST/SOAP). + Utilize strong RDBMS experience including Oracle, SQL, and DB objects. + Work with midrange based systems, employing Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, J2EE, JBOSS, Oracle, and APIs. + Implement solutions in UNIX and LINUX environments using bash, Perl, and other toolsets. **What’s Needed?** + 5+ years of relevant technology experience in development roles. + Proficiency in Middleware technologies and RDBMS (Oracle, SQL). + Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, J2EE, JBOSS, Oracle, and APIs. + Experience with Splunk, App Dynamics, AutoSys, Prognosis, and UPF preferred. + Knowledge of AIX, Mainframe, SUBJECT, COBOL, Python programming techniques is a plus. **What’s in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in-depth with Banking and Payments domain, including WIRES processing. + Exposure to WIRES FED/CHIPS, Cross Border Payments, SWIFT domain payments, ISO 20022. + Collaboration with multiple technology delivery teams and stakeholders. + Mentorship and guidance responsibilities over junior associates. + Chance to contribute to emerging technologies and tools, enhancing analytic and problem-solving skills.
