Mainframe Developer Senior (w/ C#)

As a mainframe developer senior–COBOL/C#on the Billing Platform team, you’ll work with our billing policy lifecycle systems and assist with advancing new tools and technologies related to Billing. The platform provides 24x7 real time billing and payment processing services for all Progressive lines of business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and coding features, analyzing product backlog, resolving issues, and maintaining and enhancing applications. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the technical design, development, and operational support of the distributed and mainframe applications. Participation in the on-call support rotation is required.

This is a remote position for US-based work only.

Must-have qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and a minimum of four years of related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.In Lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of four years related work experience.In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs and applications.

Preferred skills

Experience with Mainframe development using COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCLExperience with full stack development using C#, .NET, MVC, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, GITFamiliarity with web services, Windows services, SSIS, API, Rest API, and integrated unit testsFamiliarity with Agile methodology

Compensation

$108,000-134,000/year depending on experienceGainshare bonus up 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
