Rate: $50-53/hour (W2) **Responsibilities:** + The team builds and modernize Mainframe backend capabilities that support our large-scale digital presence. You will help us craft and develop re-usable Mainframe applications that focus on customer experience needs and optimize quality and deployment practices. + This team is responsible for the development and support of mainframe applications that enable retirement and non-retirement capabilities, such as contributions, distributions, and state tax. + We work closely with our business, operations, and systems partners to enable new business capabilities, respond to regulatory changes, modernize technology solutions, and address the complex needs of our customers. + You’ll chip in to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, multi-functional team. + You will have the opportunity to share your technical knowledge to help strengthen our engineering community and further pursue your own learning of modernizing mainframe platform. + We're looking for software engineers that enjoy a reciprocal environment and have a passion for releasing high quality software through iterative software development practices. + Digital Capabilities team in Personal Investing (PI) supports applications and tools that provide capabilities like Online money movement, Account management, Bill pay services and Account opening for our retail and workplace customers. + This position will play a key role in delivering new and enhancing existing digital capabilities to provide the best customer experience. **Experience Requirements:** The Expertise we’re Looking For • You have a passion for technology and can navigate your way across complex and rapidly-changing landscapes by staying on top of latest trends and thrive by sharing knowledge. • Bachelor's or any equivalent degree with computer science background. • 8+ years of proven experience. • Strong programming skills with digital approach, and proficient Mainframe technology components including COBOL, DB2, VSAM, CICS. • Some experience with API services development would be a nice to have. • Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly. • Have good communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in significant discussions. • Some level of experience with architectural patterns of large or high-scale applications. We believe in applying the right technology depending on the challenge and are always exploring new technologies to continually provide value to our customers. • Ability to blend development with testing by participating in quality efforts. We consider software quality is ensured through prevention rather than detection. The Skills You Bring • Strong working experience in CICS, DB2, VSAM, COBOL and JCL. • Some familiarity with JAVA / J2EE or any web service application development. • Knowledge of cloud computing environments and applications (AWS, Azure). • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM). • Good collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization globally. • Strong team player. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
