Mainframe Engineering Senior Manager

We deliver fast, reliable, and secure mainframe services for the Wells Fargo enterprise, and the successful leader in this space will manage the compute, storage, and tape/virtual tape hardware to keep those systems running 24/7.


In this role, you will:

Manage individual contributors and managers in a fast-paced, technical environmentLead project teams to support network and communication implementationsEnsure the Information Technology infrastructure is always functioning as effectively as possibleWork across multiple domains to negotiate outcomes, collaborate, and deliver consistent results.Deliver staffing, hardware, and general mainframe strategy in collaboration with product leadership team.Contribute meaningfully with your manager and peers as a core leader in the mainframe team; provide culture, communication, audit, risk/compliance, and training guidance and support across the organization.Oversee Information Technology infrastructure across multiple locationsIdentify and recommend opportunities for internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goalsWork with the networking and software engineering groupsLead the efforts to maintain and develop Information Technology systems and networks companywideReview and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the futureDetermine appropriate strategy and actions of Infrastructure Engineers to meet moderate to high risk deliverablesMake decisions and resolve issues regarding infrastructure to meet business objectivesInterpret and develop policies and proceduresRecommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitivenessCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managersLead team to achieve objectivesManage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Infrastructure EngineeringDevelop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy


Required Qualifications:

6+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education6+ years mainframe hardware, systems programming, or mainframe operations experience3+ years of management experience3+ years of financial services experience

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
