Mainframe Security Manager (RACF)

Job Summary:

As the Mainframe Security Manager, you will oversee the security operations for our mainframe systems, with a focus on RACF. You will be responsible for implementing security policies, managing user access controls, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures related to mainframe systems and RACF.

Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the RACF environment.

Monitor security logs and reports to identify and respond to potential security incidents.

Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed across all systems.

Provide training and guidance to staff on security protocols and awareness.

Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies to enhance security measures.

Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Proven experience in mainframe security management, specifically with RACF.

Strong knowledge of mainframe security protocols and best practices.

Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills:

RACF administration and security auditing experience.

Knowledge of mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).

Certifications in security management (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
