Skill Requirement:
Techno-functional role with deep expertise in 3PL domain and have technology expertise in Microfocus COBOL, CICS, DB2, Endevor, Abend-aid, CA7, Microsoft Azure(Version controller).
Roles and Responsibilities: Participate in architecture review sessions to provide inputs to architecture team through framework analysis, design patterns, prototype specifications in order to be able to create high level design specificationInterface with customer for issue resolution, provide status updates, Build customer confidence in team`s ability to deliver in order to support high customer satisfactionPerform high and low level design, Provide pseudo codes, Implement the prototype and do design reviews to deliver design documents as per customer requirements.Participate in the estimation activities considering org / unit Q&P goals and review the estimates in order to plan for required budget and resources to successfully execute the projectGuide the team in developing optimized high quality code deliverable (Code Configuration, Documentation) , perform code deliverable reviews & Unit test plan reviews, conduct independent testing and sign off code release for testing stage in order to build application conforming to project standards and requirementsProvides inputs for overall implementation plan, Lead deployment of applications/infrastructure and post production support activities in order to enable production of application/system/infrastructureParticipate in analysis of incoming cases/tickets, assign tickets to team members, track fixing of tickets and verification of the fixes, tracking of SLAs, performing root cause analysis of defects and elimination of root causes, running process improvement initiatives such as BTN initiative to reduce defects to close production issues and improve application/system/infrastructure performanceBuild repository of team`s collective knowledge, Seek information and leverage knowledge from other projects to drive higher efficiency and effectiveness and preserve organization knowledgeMentors the team on Technical Competencies and provides performance feedback of the individual team members to Project Manager in order to manage performanceParticipates in discussions with customers to gather scope information and performs analysis of scope information to provide inputs for project scope documentationParticipate in estimation, staffing analysis and solutioning in order to provide inputs for preparing solution delivery of the proposalTrains team members on project processes and provides inputs on process tailoring and quality goals to finalize project quality plan.Participate in requirement elicitation process defined in the project management plan to identify requirement gaps/issues (both functional and non functional) and come up with a comprehensive requirement documentProvide inputs for technical risk planning with module perspective to ensure on time delivery of project.Prepare a detailed schedule for a work packet by carefully analyzing the effort and dependencies ( internal and external) and provide inputs to overall project schedule to ensure on time delivery of the project.Lead the team for integration/system/performance testing based on integration and system test plans and supports UAT to ensure defect free program/modules/system/infrastructure releaseParticipate in KT sessions, prepare and review system appreciation documents, understand application/system/infrastructure dependencies, perform shadow support in order to complete transitionReview the production issue analysis and fixes, interface with customer to clarify issues to ensure issue fixes in timely manner and with minimal production impact (adherence to SLA)Extracting business logic from legacy Mainframe application written in Microfocus COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IDMS Participate in discussions with the client for issue resolution, providing status updates on specific stages of the project and handle team and client interfacing for reviews of all complexities.Conduct impact analysis, and suggest/implement workarounds. Interface with internal teams, spread globally, to undertake onsite-specific activities of the project.Create program specifications documents, unit and integration test plans and implementation plan for software programs.Participate efficiently in the Development, Testing and Implementation phases of the project.Implement, develop, validate and production support activities in line with design and architecture requirements. Create the user documentation for programs, in line with the understanding of requirements.Participate in knowledge management activities; Interface with client and internal teams. Implement relevant SDLC activities as required in development, maintenance, reengineering and other types of software projects; Create and review relevant artifacts (Test Scripts, Documentation, Automation, Setups).Perform validation activities (Functional, Integration, System, User experience based) and identify and validate defects found (including those identified during User Acceptance Testing). Perform root-cause analysis of any issues that arise post-implementation and work on solutions related to issue fixing.Participate in system functional design review to evaluate that it meets business requirementsParticipate in functional solution review sessionsAssist in the preparation for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios / scriptsPerform SIT activities Support UAT activitiesExpertise in 3 PL and Supply chain domain Excellent verbal and written communication skillsRelevant experience in client handlingStrong domain knowledge in Logistics businessExperience: 7-10 yearsAdditional Skills:Excellent customer interfacing skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
