Location Description The Meadville, Pennsylvania facility is 135,000 square feet and home to about 290 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Rachael Ray® Nutrish®. Located along the banks of French Creek in Northwestern Pennsylvania and 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, Meadville is home to more than 13,000 full time residents and 2,000 Allegheny College students. Meadville is an active center for business, industry, education, the arts, recreation, service and tourism. Conneaut Lake, Pymatuning State Park and the Erie National Wildlife Refuge are wonderful places to appreciate the area's natural beauty. Responsibilities Position Overview Organize and maintain a parts and supplies inventory, computerized database and corresponding storage areas. Provide service coverage to Maintenance Department and backup receiving clerk. Provide vacation coverage for Storeroom Attendant. Support, implement, and maintain food safety and quality practices as required through SQF. Will be responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety, food safety, quality, and environmental practices. Job Responsibilities • Receive parts and supplies upon delivery. Resolve receipt discrepancies with vendors. Place received parts in proper storage location. • Pick parts for planned jobs and place in picked parts area. Deliver to job site as required. • Manage repairable spares. Assign in-house work orders or initiate vendor POs for external repairs. • Notify Data Steward of new parts for inventory. Assign storage locations for new parts. • Return excess parts from work orders to storeroom • Perform inventory cycle counting. Maintain accurate inventory levels. • Identify excess/obsolete inventory. • Maintain storage areas. Remove excess parts not labeled with stock numbers, Perform general housekeeping. Maintain HEA areas. • Assist customers in locating parts in storeroom and acquiring parts after hours for emergency situations. • Crate and Uncrate parts as needed. • Complete all required training and CBTs. • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Materials Buyer • Employee will cover opposite shift clerk position when on vacation in the callback system if required by supervisor. A 10 day notice from callback will be provided. Employee will not be required to work more than 5 consecutive days in a calendar week and not more than 4 OT shifts in a calendar month. • Back up Receiving Clerk duties • Performs all other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications & Competencies • High School Diploma or GED. • 2 years of experience in the plant manufacturing environment preferred. • Knowledge of basic electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and fabrication principles. • Familiarity with the use of multiple computer programs: INFOR CMMS, XCEL, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Office 365, Internet Explorer, and others. • Ability to communicate effectively with production, maintenance, engineering personnel and outside vendors. • Ability to organize and accurately count. • Ability to provide work direction to other employees, especially those in temporary positions; answer general questions about parts and equipment and to accurately report long numeric sequences. • Strong attention to detail • Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language. • Ability to operate lift trucks and other material handling equipment. • Ability to repetitively lift and carry 50 pounds, lift above shoulder height, work on feet for extended periods, continuously climb stairs, crouch, reach and twist, and to work off of ladders.
