Purpose
Completes a variety of clerical, administrative and secretarial duties to support line and/or staff management and in some cases a team of professional staff to allow focus management on department goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
· Connecting with Maintenance Vendors
· Sorts, files and maintains invoices, receipts, contracts, or other special department documents
· Prepares answers to routine mail and inquiries
· Receives, responds to, takes messages or routes incoming telephone calls
· Prepares schedules, makes appointments, schedules meetings and reserves meeting rooms
· Maintains files and keeps records
· Processes straightforward documente
· Compiles reports; may include planning reports layout and statistical tables
· Prepares memos and other material in from rough drafts to final form
· Photocopies office materials, documents, and reports
· Sorts and distributes mail
Job Requirements
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Reading, writing, math, and communication skills equivalent to these obtained in high school or commensurate experience, general office or clerical experience
· Previous experience using word processing software at a level to create and format letters, envelopes and memoranda
· Ability to accurately key 40 words per minute
· Familiar with spreadsheet software at a level to open and print spreadsheets, format straightforward spreadsheets, i.e. create columns and headings, choose font type and size, input data, sort data and searches
Physical Environment
· Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
· Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
· Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
· Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties

Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
