Job Description

The Production Manager – Maintenance energizes & motivates an experienced team of maintenance
employees to work safely, improve cycle time, focus on quality, & meet production goals. Oversees and
ensures that the equipment, machinery, general repairs, site maintenance, installation of new
equipment/systems, and preventative maintenance programs are carried out efficiently and properly.

Duties & Responsibilities 

Acts as a resource in the diagnosis of malfunctioning machinery, installation of new equipment and systems, and general repairsCoordinates and schedules the maintenance operations with other plant operations teams to ensure efficient and safe operationsLeads by example & develops close working relationships with the plant staff, vendors, customers & leadersManages and participates in the selection, interviewing & hiring of new maintenance employeesOversees the plant maintenance staff and directs all maintenance operationsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Mathematical skills, including math operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio and percentagesDemonstrated knowledge of water treatment processes, pumps, motorsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing process and/or Six SigmaKnowledge of Environmental Health and Safety Regulations


Education & Experience
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in an operations or management position)At least two additional years of maintenance, operations or management experience

Preferred:

BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferredMathematical skills, including math operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio and percentages

Working Conditions 

Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments to included but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
