Your Role:
The selected Maintenance Assistant candidate must be able to work at a local mobile home park located in Houston, Texas.
· Responsible for performing minor home repairs and lawn service around the grounds.
· Assist with accepting rental payments from tenants.
· Updating rental logs and write out receipts for payments.
· Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
· Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
· Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
· Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Must have experience performing minor home repairs and other home maintenance skills.
· Must have experience using battery-powered hand tools.
· Must be able to push a lawnmower and operation a weed eater.
· Ability to bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. many times in one day, including the ability to handle a sheet of exterior plywood.
· Regular office hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, which may include weekends and holidays as needed.
· On call work required to assist Park Management with making unforeseen repairs after normal office hours as needed.
· Basic computer skills are preferred.
· Fluency in Spanish preferred.
· A self-starter with the ability to take direction.
