Job Description

The Maintenance Assistant position supports multiple areas within Maintenance department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform genal maintenance and repair including light carpentry, painting, basic electrical, HVAC, general plumbing and grounds tasks.With support of team, ensure facility remains in good operating condition and address issues as they arise.Moving and arranging furniture and cubical setups; assist with employee moves.May assist mechanics with investigation and resolution of mechanical problems.May maintain exterior grounds and ensure sidewalks and parking lots remain safe in inclement weather (snow, ice, etc.)Coordinate maintenance tasks with outside contractors, if needed.Perform and/or assist with internal and external facility inspections including but not limited to drinking fountains, LP tanks, HVAC filters, PIV batteries, riser and riser keys.Production area cleaning, as needed.Machinery preventative maintenance such as compactor, taper, etc.Complete PO requests and other documentation.Complete RR Donnelley Forklift certification program.Assist maintenance team members, as needed.

The work environment is clean, comfortable and climate controlled.  The shift is Monday through Friday from  6:00 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M.

QualificationsPosition required the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds force, occasionally and 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.Ability to use arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fraction, decimals, and percentages.Ability to follow written work instructions.Ability to effectively communicate within a cross-functional team.One (1) year of experience in a maintenance support role.Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance tasks.

Disclosure Statement:

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.67  to $19.57 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
