Gladman is licensed as a 40-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) providing sub-acute psychiatric treatment to adults 18 and older.
Shifts Available:
Full Time; AM 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Tuesday - Saturday
Expected starting wage is $21.10 Hourly

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Maintenance Worker is the staff member that performs tasks that involve the facility physical plant, equipment and grounds maintenance. These duties encompass a variety of carpentry, electrical and environmental services assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of experience as a building maintenance worker, handy‑person, boiler worker or in a related position is required. Experience in a health care setting is preferred. High School graduation or a G.E.D. is also required. Necessary skills include knowledge of and ability to perform in the areas of: plumbing, carpentry, masonry and electrical, heating and air conditioning repair. The ability to read, write and speak English is essential, as is the willingness to work with adult mentally impaired persons. The incumbent must have a valid Class II California Driver’s License and be insurable. Applicant must be finger printed and receive clearance from Criminal Justice Department.

Performs tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures. Performs the following electrical tasks: Checks the temperature in the facility and maintains the log. Adjusts thermostats as needed to maintain the temperature between 72 ‑ 74 degrees. Checks and logs boilers and water temperature. Checks all exit lights and other facility lights, replacing as needed. Completes all sheet rock repairs, including sanding and painting within one week of the being damaged. Performs the following maintenance tasks: Picks up the trash from the front of the facility. Responds to all work requisitions, completing the requested task and the associated paper work. Completes preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and assigned. week. Checks and cleans the facility vehicles each week. Responds to immediate maintenance and repair problems; participates in alternating on-call schedule for emergencies. (beeper)TEAM MEMBER PARTICIPATION
