This position pays $25.00/hr The shift for this position is 7am-3pm Monday-Friday, and every other weekend Job Duties Responsible for hanging Venetian blinds, curtain rods and drapes, towel racks, pictures, mirrors, shelves, wall lamps, etc., as assigned. Make minor repairs (unstop toilets, repair garbage disposal, etc.) as needed.   Major repairs should be referred to Maintenance Technicians. Assist in repair of personal items for residents as skill level allows. Perform maintenance checks to ensure that plumbing, lights, outlets, and   appliances are all in working order, as well as door knobs and blinds, closet  and cabinet doors and drawers, etc. for pre move-in turnover, and yearly thereafter. Perform janitorial duties as assigned. Assist in the clean up of floods and other disasters. Assist in the removal of snow and ice. Must alert Human Resources or the Department Director of any change in driving record, including but not limited to accidents and tickets for traffic violations. Qualifications Must have some “handyman” knowledge of the requirements for repairing furniture, fixing pictures, repairing blinds, and similar projects. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, and visitors. Must be generally familiar with gasoline and electrical motors, electrical wiring, heating equipment, plumbing and refrigeration equipment. A sampling of our many benefits!
