Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., is seeking a Maintenance Business Unit Leader (BUL) to join its growing Waterville, Nova Scotia team.
Mission:
As a Michelin Maintenance BUL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will lead a team to ensure the availability and reliability of equipment in their area of responsibility and optimize maintenance cost with a goal of continuous improvement. These efforts are undertaken to support production teams in the shared goals of safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Responsibilities include:
provide a safe working environment for all employees and ensure safe operating conditions of equipment;implement the maintenance strategy, analyze results, and implement vital actions (short/medium term);lead a team of multidisciplinary maintenance professionals to ensure reliability of equipment, in particular solving issues of obsolescence;contribute to process reliability by implementing and ensuring the efficiency of maintenance plans;manage the maintenance budget (workforce, supply, and services); and,develop and empower their team, build, and update the succession plan under the leadership of the Maintenance Manager.Requirements include:
technical college diploma, bachelor or graduate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;5 + years of demonstrated ability as a maintenance manager or supervisor;proven leadership experience in an industrial environment;experience working in a mentor and/or employee development role; and,demonstrated experience in successful resource planning.How to apply:
