Description:


We are hiring within for a Coolant Technician! This position provides coolant support daily maintenance, for new machine start-ups, and shut downs to ensure proper functioning of equipment. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Maintains proper housekeeping of oil roomUtilizes proper oils in equipmentWrite work orders as needed to notify maintenance of developing leaks / usage Performs routine preventative maintenance (i.e., oil changes, filters for motors, fans and pumps, greasing of chip      conveyors, chains, bearings)Performs routine equipment checks for wear or potential mechanical problemsInspects equipment for leaks, missing  guards, hoses and debris that may create leaksOversees coolant re-circulating system and collection of used coolant from chip hopperHelps in handling of waste oil, oily socks, etc. and handling of hazards material collectionsRepairs or replaces air lines as neededPerforms special assignments as delegatedAssists with coolant machine cleanouts, cleans and maintains oil skimmers, and monitor concentration of coolant levels. Document as required. Required to  make entries in computer for tracking purposesMonitors coolant waste and facilitates disposalOther duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:


· Works in a fast paced environment under minimum supervision 

· Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment

· Must work with a high degree of accuracy


Education and Experience:

Mechanical aptitudeAbility to become licensed to drive a fork truck
