The Global Drilling Services division operates in 30 countries for a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of
commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals. The Global Products division
designs, manufactures and sells drilling equipment, performance tooling, and aftermarket parts and services to customers in
over 100 countries.
Boart Longyear is looking to hire a Maintenance Coordinator in Haileybury, ON. The Maintenance Coordinator is
responsible for analytical reporting of maintenance targets to senior leadership while building and maintaining relationships
with third party vendors according to Company policies and procedures..
Position Responsibilities:
Work with Shop Supervisors and F&A Manager to create and update Field schedules to include required field maintenanceInvestigating possible cost savings through in-house assembliesUpdate/create inspection checklists, both field and shop’Update/create Equipment requests templates as requiredCollect PM data and build database to improve PM EfficienciesInvestigate potential equipment improvements Spearhead innovations in shops. Standardization, dwg organization. Travel to sites and work towards a site shop standardAsset CountsAsset TrackingAsset Creation and standardizationTrack DOT Inspection RequirementsAssist with Auctions and/or ScrappingBuild field maintenance plan for all divisions and drilling equipmentContinuous improvement of bottle necks in shops and fieldDigitize and standardize all inspections and reports into central system (SiteDocs)Work with Field Maintenance teams across all sites to ensure PMs are performed on time and documented accordinglyOther duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
3-Years experience in maintenance planning
• Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent, experience could be taken as equivalent
• Advanced Oracle experience would be considered an asset
• Advanced Excel experience would be considered an asset (Power Query, Pivot Tables, minor VBA or similar)
• Motivated, self-starter
• Able to work alone and in a team setting
• Willing to travel periodically
