Maintenance Coordinator- B Shift (6:00pm-6:00am) $39.85/hr

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, provides leadership and direction to the Plant Maintenance mechanics/department.  Develop, implement, and oversee sound preventative maintenance and maintenance training programs designed to maximize production efficiencies by reducing downtime.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

•    Follow and help establish new maintenance guidelines and procedures to maintain consistency of operations and quality product output.
•    Direct, instruct, and assist maintenance techs in equipment repair and/or replacement.
•    Assist in the planning and scheduling of work order and PM task completion.
•    Maintain responsibility for ensuring adequate maintenance coverage is provided for on all shifts and during scheduled downtime periods.
•    Maintain and improve our computerized preventative maintenance program at the plant.
•    Work with Stock Room Clerk, to insure a suitable level of parts in inventory.
•    Help develop, implement, and have oversight of an on-going training program designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the maintenance department.
•    Maintains open lines of communication with department manager and technicians, Plant Management, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, etc., for more efficient operation.
•    Devise and recommend equipment automation to reduce or eliminate manual labor costs or production inefficiencies.
•    Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and outside contractors to insure the timely and accurate completion of all special project assignments.
•    Complete all forms, paperwork, and records on a timely basis.
•    Maintain responsibility for the adherence to the corporate safety program and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) within the maintenance department.
•    Trains technicians and trainees current and new as needed.
•    Maintains budgetary parameters established in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
•    Perform other job-related projects, duties and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.
•    Must be able to operate a lift. 
•    May fill in for supervisor level as needed. 
•    Mandatory overtime may be required. 


QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.

Experience: Some college or formal technical school education is preferred, but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
