Job Description

Salary Range: $93,825 to 117,275 per year. 

Supervise and direct the maintenance of all mechanical functions within support groups to include, refrigeration, PSM and other support groups/ activities as assigned.

Direct and supervise Facility maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient operations results.  Specifically:

Provides direction, development and leadership to Facilities maintenance supervision and technicians.Comply and participate in audits of Cal-OSHA PSM, County CUPA, Federal EPA PSMWork with the Plant Safety Coordinator to ensure all RMP and PSM related requirements are met and implemented in a timely manner.Monitor and maintain all equipment within the plant’s Facilities area.  This area includes: steam piping and equipment; chemical pumps; condensate return systems; air compressors; HVAC; ammonia refrigeration systems; compressed air, potable water systems and water softenersTimely analysis and repair of all breakdowns within the Facilities area utilizing PDM. Evaluate the need for equipment upgrades and modification for all Facilities equipmentEnsure all safety equipment is available and all safety procedures are followed including compliance with all RMP, PSM, OSHA, and Cal OSHA guidelinesEnsure Facility compliance with all State and Federal guidelines regarding Ammonia Safety emission limits. 

Aid the maintenance Manager in the evaluation of the future equipment requirements and outside support agencies.

Direct and supervise production maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient operations result.  Specifically:

Plan and schedule operational and preventative maintenance requirements at effective/efficient performance levels.Continue development and implementation of Facilities area preventive maintenance program utilizing CMMS and related systems such as PSM writer.Coordinate any routine or major maintenance that could have implications on the daily production schedule with the Maintenance manager, Maintenance Supervisors, Plant Managers and Production SupervisorsEstablish maintenance priorities based upon need/budget restrictions to ensure all fabrication and construction activity meets/exceeds all local, state and federal codes and regulationsProvide purchasing requirements for spare parts and/or material based upon need, usage availability and dollar valuePrepare design concept drawings, cost estimates and project scoping for annual Capital Plans. Implement annual Capital Plan in specific area of responsibility. Coordinate projects to minimize plant downtime while completing projects on time and within budget.Provide technical assistance to other departments in order to solve reoccurring equipment/material failures.  Provide technical knowledge/expertise, as required, in order to make sounds decisions based on technical dataTrain and professionally develop subordinates, to function in the best interest of the company, while maintaining the highest possible performance standards; proved a reliable work force able to function in an atmosphere of teamwork/good relationsPlan manpower requirements and develop production maintenance budgets.  Specifically, control production maintenance monies for labor, parts and/or material, in the best interest of the company, while maintaining an effective and efficient production maintenance operation

Qualifications

Bachelors and/or Advanced degree in a related science field, or six to ten (6-10) years of management experience in poultry or a related industrial area, project scheduling and maintenance with an emphasis on:

Advanced knowledge and/or understanding of Refrigeration, PSM and BoilersStrategic knowledge of production operations management for safety, quality, yield and cost.Demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal and organization skillsMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust be a trained First Responder – Level A suit qualifiedMust be a trained Haz-Mat responder at 40-hour levelMust be certified in Confined Space trainingMust be current on CPR/First Aid certificationMust be trained in lock-out tag-out and safe work practicesMust be able to bend, stoop walk and stand for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to climb and work from ladders and in confined spaces safelyMust be able to work from high altitudes, catwalks and roofsMust be able to lift over 50 poundsMust be able to work on wet concrete floorsMust be able to work overtime, weekends and times dictated by production equipment requirements/needsMust be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
