Compensation:

Starting pay rate of $36.44/hour

 

Shifts Available:

3rd: 11:00pm - 7:30am

Overview

 

Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems associated with all equipment in a manufacturing environment. Directly responsible for installation, maintenance & repair of all equipment concerned with plant operation, services & buildings including storage & inventory of spare parts. Use basic hand and specialty tools for repair equipment in accordance with established safety procedures.

Responsibilities Read blueprints & wiring diagrams for the installation & repair of equipment and the facilityDisassembles, repairs/replaces parts and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.Cleans, lubricates & adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessaryMajor electrical repairs including 3-phase, 440 & troubleshoots PLC’s, new installations of equipment, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliancesIsolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, testing lamp, or meggerReplaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systemsRemoves or replaces electrical transformers & lighting fixturesPerforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-outCommunicates problems encountered throughout the shift to the production supervisor, maintenance lead acting supervisor or maintenance supervisorOperates any equipment needed to perform jobRepair parts that require minor machine work & welding using gas & electric welding equipmentMust be capable of covering both mechanical and electrical equipment without support on off shiftsHas operating knowledge of all production & service equipmentPerforms other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervision Qualifications 5+ years electrical maintenance experience with strong electrical/mechanical knowledge of industrial systems and automated technologies2 year electrical degree or similar education preferred but not requiredAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishBasic computer skills requiredExperience working with and leading teams successfullyTrained in lock out/tag out procedures
