**Maintenance Electrician** Currently hiring a maintenance electrician in the East Chicago, IN area. Hiring immediately. **Shift:** Rotating. This position will be day shift for 8 months or so, and ideally looking for someone that can rotate between night shift and day shift in some sort of capacity. There would be 4 electricians in this day/night rotation, and it could be a weekly rotation or longer if needed. (Example: 2 weeks on nights, followed by 6 weeks on days) **Job Description:** + Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, various pumps, mixers, cranes, lighting systems, and motor controls. + Repair and install AB PLCs using schematics. + Work with electrical systems up to 480V AC/DC. + Run conduit and pipe throughout the plant. + Troubleshoot VFDs and change and size motor starters. + Size and wire transformers. + Operate electrical test equipment including voltmeters, meggers, and amprobes. + Terminate wiring for three-phase motors. + Use HMI screens to troubleshoot and understand process controls. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Electrical troubleshooting of industrial equipment. + Proficiency with PLCs. + Electrical installation and project work. + Experience working with 480V systems. + Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. + Knowledge of instrumentation. **Work Environment:** The position is based in a plant located in East Chicago, IN, which manufactures drywall and related materials. The plant is 23 miles from Downtown Chicago and 20 miles from corporate headquarters. The dress code is casual, with jeans and a hard hat required on the floor, and uniforms will be provided. The team consists of 14 maintenance employees, including 4 electricians and 10 millwrights, within a plant of 140 employees. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $65499.20 - $72883.20/yr.
