Maintenance Electrician
**Job Title: Maintenance Electrician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the safe maintenance, service, and repair of machinery and equipment located in the Plant. Responsibilities include performing specific duties regularly at scheduled times and additional duties as assigned. The Maintenance Electrician must record activities and observations regarding the condition of the machinery and equipment. They will assist the Operator with equipment issues and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory codes and standards. The role also involves recommending, implementing, and managing safety, quality, and food safety on all product lines. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot complex control systems consisting of PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, instrumentation devices, and communication networks. + Diagnose sources of trouble in operating equipment and perform proper repair/replacement procedures. + Perform LOTO procedures to isolate and de-energize equipment and systems to be worked on. + Identify and eliminate or report unsafe conditions in the Plant, and perform all tasks in a safety-conscious manner. + Assist the Operator in the operation of equipment when problems arise. + Upgrade skills and knowledge of Plant systems, equipment, and components as directed or required. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician + Repair + Preventive maintenance + PLC troubleshooting + Industrial experience, ideally within food and beverage manufacturing + Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED + At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician + Electrical, Maintenance repair + Blueprint reading + Industrial and electrical troubleshooting + Equipment maintenance + Mechanical aptitude + HVAC installation + Ability to conduct 5S Audits **Why Work Here?** This is a direct hire union position offering a full benefits package. The facility handles the full process of chocolate production from roasting beans to packaging. The role requires climbing ladders and stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working in confined spaces and high places. Tasks involve handling, lifting, fingering, feeling, kicking, and pressing with feet. Work conditions include uneven floor surfaces, low clearance areas, and working near openings in floors or grounds. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of San Leandro, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $83449.60 - $96595.20/yr. This is a unionized position: $100 initiation which is spread across first 10 paychecks, union dues are $49/month.
