Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Maintenance Electrician Technician 2 is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical supply, distribution systems up to 4160V, motors, motor controls, VFDs, backup generators, UPSs, instrumentation, PLCs, and DCSs.

 

 Responsibilities:

 

Perform maintenance activities including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative and predictive maintenance to increase equipment reliability to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable equipment operationIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the engineering, operation, and maintenance stages of the equipment lifecycleDevelop and manage maintenance plans to help eliminate equipment failures and increase overall reliabilityOversee outside contractors and other technicians to support electrical equipmentManage the technical documentation on equipment throughout all lifecycle stages, including equipment design basis, technical drawings, and maintenance proceduresMentor, coach, and oversee other electrical technicians to advance their developmentDocument work performed on equipment in both electronic and written form and comply with code and quality requirements, including NFPA and Good Documentation PracticesProvide assistance during utility outage emergenciesUtilize SAP for work managementThis position may include weekend and holiday on call and after-hours duty on a variety of all shifts

Who You Are


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of experience as an electricianValid driver’s license

 

OR

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. trade school, Associate Degree, etc.) in Industrial Maintenance, Automation and Controls, or other technical discipline2+ years as an electricianValid driver’s license

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previously or currently a holder of a St. Louis City Industrial–maintenance license or Electrical contractor’s licenseExperience with data centers, backup generators, and UPS systemsExperience with electrical systems in intrinsically safe (Class 1 Div 1) areasExperience generating and maintaining electrical drawings
