We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to deliver high-level service in the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of all machinery, tools, and plant equipment. Ensuring safe, reliable day-to-day operation across value streams and providing timely maintenance support that minimizes downtime.
Your responsibilities
+ Ensure all value stream equipment is effectively maintained to meet production requirements and performance.
+ Diagnoses of all equipment breakdowns to root cause and ensure effective repairs are completed in a safe timely manner.
+ Assist with all TPM duties and coolant management / actions when required.
+ First point of contact for machine breakdowns.
+ Responsible for assisting with problem solving activities to solve repeat equipment related issues.
+ Complete (including audit approval) monthly scheduled departmental TPM.
+ Carry out timely maintenance including equipment overhauls as well as commissioning and installation of new equipment where appropriate.
+ Complete and record dynamic risk assessments associated with maintenance activities.
+ Ensuring machines are in a safe working condition when handed back to production.
+ Ensure a thorough and effective shift handover takes place.
+ Attending start of shift safety meeting and be proactive in communication.
+ Proactive in reporting safety issues and non-compliance.
+ To provide practical advice to colleagues within the value streams on maintenance issues.
+ To keep up to date on advances in engineering technology and how applied to equipment and machinery relevant to our operations.
Who we are looking for
+ Maintenance engineering background within manufacturing, particularly supporting CNC machine tools.
+ Completed a recognised apprenticeship preferably multi-skilled but with predominantly electrical experience.
+ Able to demonstrate competence in a wide range of engineering skills and disciplines including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills on wide range of plant and equipment.
+ Safety knowledge, including the use of LOTOTO.
+ Knowledge of PUWER regulations.
+ Capability to complete effective risk assessments.
Ideally, you will also have
+ Electrical installation with IEE 18thEdition.
+ IPAF qualification.
+ Experience in electronics and PLCs.
