PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Maintenance and Reliability Excellence (50%)

Execute preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to minimize unexpected breakdowns and optimize equipment performance. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures and breakdowns, demonstrate a strong background in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues in industrial equipment, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Collaborate with maintenance technicians to provide technical guidance. Perform mechanical repairs and overhauls on equipment as needed, including disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly. Ensure the use of proper tools, techniques, and safety precautions during maintenance activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of equipment reliability and availability. Provide general support and assistance to Reliability Team.

Continuous Improvement (30%)

Identify and lead projects for continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and decrease downtime. Use data-driven insights to optimize maintenance strategies and minimize lifecycle costs. Promote best practices and facilitate improvement initiatives to encourage a culture of continuous improvement. Engage in regular reviews and assessments to improve maintenance processes and methodologies. Analyze maintenance expenditures and trends to identify cost-cutting alternatives while maintaining or improving equipment reliability that have no impact on quality or safety. Create and implement cost-effective maintenance strategies, such as managing spare parts inventory, improving maintenance scheduling, and reducing unplanned downtime.

Talent Management (10%)

Provide guidance and mentorship to maintenance teams, promoting skill development and career growth. Participate in the recruiting and onboarding of maintenance professionals to contribute to talent acquisition activities. Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to team members. Collaborate with HR to create training and development programs for maintenance staff. Support company policies and procedures as a member of management for all employees; presents a professional image as a representative of the company. Creates an environment focused on continuous learning and improvement, fostering close-knit collaboration sparked by the energy of a startup. Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with co-workers and every level of management.

Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership (10%)

Operates safely within NatureWorks policies, procedures and governmental regulations and fully participates in and champions NatureWorks Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Programs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into the design and development process. Ensures the EH&S Programs are being followed and provides a safe working environment to our employees and customers.  Accountable for building a strong safety culture and actively pursues it on a daily basis; identifies unsafe behaviors and conditions and intervenes to mitigate incidents.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / technical field Holding Mechanical engineering license. 5 years minimum Maintenance or Reliability experience in a chemical manufacturing facility Knowledge of reliability principles, statistical analysis, and data interpretation Strong knowledge of mechanical systems. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment, and processes. Knowledge of using Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques, cause analysis, and predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared, acoustic emissions, tribology, etc. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices related to maintenance cost optimization in relevant sectors. Strong knowledge and experience in spare parts inventory management, including establishing optimal stocking levels, supplier negotiations, and inventory cost reduction strategies. Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical equipment repair and alteration, alignment and balancing. Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools and techniques, including predictive maintenance analytics, machine learning, or data-driven decision-making, is a significant advantage. Proficient in various computer programs especially SAP

 Education and Experience Preferred:

Advanced degree in Engineering Certification in maintenance or inspection related fields is a plus. Knowledge and experience in Lean manufacturing and kaizen principles Training in Weibull, RCI, FMEA, RCM, RBI, Modeling, etc. facilitation would be helpful. Project Management experience and knowledge
