The Maintenance Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains the physical plant as well as other hospital equipment/systems in a safe cost effective and industry accepted manner. Also, this position assures a safe and reliable environment in which to provide medical services.
Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE: Tuesday-Friday, 11:30 AM to 10 PM. On Call every 4th week
Required Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalentQUALIFYING LICENSURE UPON HIRE, NO CONTINGENCIES
Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE: Chief A Chief B 1st Class A 1st Class B 2nd Class A 2nd Class BIF ABOVE LICENSURE(S) NOT PRESENT AT HIRE
Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE: Chief C upon hire 1st Class C upon hire 2nd Class C upon hire Special Engineers license Must obtain completion within 18 months of hire date: 2nd Class B license Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines Basic computer and email skills Good customer service, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude skills, and able to change or reprioritize in a fast pace environment to meet our patients/building needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical school training in plant operations/building maintenance and/or HVAC 1-year experience in the operation of H.V.A.C., refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, preferably in a health care setting
