Waddington Europe has a vacancy for an Engineer in Thermoforming to work for Waddington Europe - Milton Keynes site.

Responsible for undertake any engineering work or any other breakdown or repair as requested, ensuring all work is completed to company standards (as expected of an experienced/qualified engineer) at the same time meeting business and customer needs.

Experience in manufacturing required, ideally multiskilled Engineer however a strong background in either Mechanical or Electrical will be considered. PLC fault finding would be advantageous. Edition 18 qualification or equivalent would also be advantageous.

This role is available working 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on evenings, rotating, working 7.75 hours per day, full time..

\n carry out all engineering work, technical maintenance and overhauls on site in a timely and efficient manner Liaise closely with other functions e.g. Shift Supervisors, Production Manager, Quality & EHS Officer, Engineering personnel and Operations Director to ensure adequate information is relayed to optimise performance undertake any engineering or other breakdown or repair as requested to company standard and conclusion ensure the level of electrical & mechanical spares are always maintained to minimum stock levels and ensure subsequent re-order enhance the engineering & technical standards of the plant and use a planned preventative maintenance system ensure all site essential services are always maintained to optimum levels ensure the planned maintenance schedules are up to date and recorded. Adhere to the maintenance schedule for the essential site equipment suggest new projects and improvements to enhance site performance. ensure effective use of Engineering spares & resources comply with the current agreed call out system, providing the site with essential out of hours engineering cover highlight any changes required to working practices as deemed necessary to benefit and enhance site performance and safety responsible for any Engineering work, mechanical / electrical breakdown, on site. take responsibility for any repairs or other project work on the site between breakdowns escalate any issue where repairs are not possible and / or not available to a line manager \n
