Maintenance Engineer

**DESCRIPTION**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work with teams in the maintenance organization and assist line employees in basic maintenance procedures.
+ Assist Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering in problem identification, troubleshooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair.
+ Manage spare parts and indirect materials inventory using a computerized maintenance management system.
+ Assist with equipment engineering design evaluations.
+ Build preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment availability and capability.
+ Handle teams of contractual project contractors and suppliers.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Experience:**
+ Experience in civil engineering projects and day-to-day maintenance activities in a manufacturing company.

+ **Equipment/Capital Procurement:** Selecting manufacturing equipment that meets Cummins specifications and project needs.
+ **Preventative and Predictive Maintenance:** Developing and executing maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement.
+ **Values Differences:** Recognizing the value of different perspectives and cultures.
+ **Continuous Process Improvement:** Implementing process improvement and waste reduction methodologies.
+ **Controls Engineering Knowledge:** Applying controls hardware and software for new or upgraded equipment.
+ **Ergonomic Fundamentals:** Applying ergonomic standards to reduce risk to employees.
+ **Manufacturing Knowledge:** Implementing changes in processes, equipment, and applications to meet functional needs.
+ **Process Documentation:** Producing written manufacturing procedures to establish continuity and standardization.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Qualifications:**
+ Degree in Civil Engineering.
+ Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Skills:**
+ Ability to handle teams of contractual project contractors and suppliers.
+ Preparation of BOQ
+ Negotiation skills
+ Good knowledge of Civil Engineering concepts
+ Experience in monitoring construction progress and ensuring adherence to safety regulations,
+ Managing projects within budget and time constraints.
