ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

Continuously improve mechanical equipment performance and reliability to support TPU/PCG/PHC manufacturing departments to produce and deliver compliant products at targeted cost, quality and service levels under excellent HSES management through problem solving, improving mechanical equipment, and providing technical support to mechanical technicians.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Do root cause analysis (RCA) for the failure of mechanical equipment, to find root cause and make corrective action plan through implementing problem solving tools, like 5-whys, FTA, fish-bone diagram etc. Trace and manage downtime of mechanical equipment, solve problem to reduce equipment downtime and improve equipment reliability. Work with operation team to modify mechanical equipment to meeting the requirement of new products development and different customer. Implement mFMEA to evaluate potential risk of mechanical equipment, provide solution and implement corrective action plan to reduce the risk of HSES and long downtime. Support continuous improvement activities within maintenance department and implement lean manufacturing like 6S, TPM-AM, TWI, A3 etc. Support reliability engineer to build and optimize maintenance system of mechanical equipment in SAP, include PM/PdM, spare part etc. Make purchase request for mechanical spar part, to avoid long downtime because of lacking spare part. Optimize mechanical spare part to reduce spare part inventory and NWSM. Provide the proposal of mechanical equipment maintenance and modification; and implement modification and small capital project of mechanical equipment. Analyze maintenance expense and identify high maintenance cost of mechanical equipment, to seek the opportunity of cost reduction. Support maintenance manager to make annual maintenance budget of mechanical equipment. Trace and manage mechanical maintenance expense to ensure within budget. Provide technical support and training to maintenance technician and contractor, to improve their mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skill. Provide technical support to plant expansion project, include design, installation and commissioning.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

 

Education Background: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, engineering or related majors Fluent in English, can communicate with foreign colleagues both written and oral. At least 5 years’ working experience, foreign venture experience is preferred. 3 years’ mechanical maintenance experience in chemical plant.

 

Technical Skills: Have rich experience and skill of mechanical maintenance, can solve complicated mechanical problem. Be familiar with API, GB related standard and regulation. Be familiar with rotating equipment maintenance, like pump, gear box, blower, chiller, compressor, valve etc. Have strong trouble shooting and problem-solving capability, familiar with analysis tool like 5-why, RCA, fish-bone diagram, A3, FMEA etc. Be familiar with predictive maintenance, like NDT, oil analysis, CUI, Vibration etc. Good communication capability and skill, Be familiar with CAD and office software

 

Other Experiences Preferred: Be familiar with mechanical integration requirement of mechanical equipment. Familiar with lean manufacturing. Familiar with extruder and pelletizing system.
