Maintenance Engineer
**Job Title: Maintenance Engineer** **Job Description** The main function of a Maintenance Engineer is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, and be multi-skilled in other areas. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility and building systems up to standards. + Travel between multiple facilities ensuring their proper function. + Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency. + Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. + Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment. + Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace. + Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. + Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. + Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. + Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or Equivalent. + 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems. + Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action. + EPA 608 Type II Certification. + Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel. + Valid driver’s license. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + EPA 608 Universal Certification. + Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC. **Why Work Here?** We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. Some flexibility may be reviewed with the manager. There is potential for emergency on-call duties. The role involves traveling between multiple sites, often at Church locations referred to as Meetinghouse locations. Compliance with no smoking and no coffee policies on site property is required. Respectful language and adherence to other typical customer obligations are expected. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
