What You'll Do:

The primary focus of this opportunity is to provide maintenance/mechanical engineering technical expertise to Plant Operations and Maintenance personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, getting equipment in functional condition and providing input to facility and equipment strategies.

 

What We're Looking For:

Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes and implement solutions to improve output Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions. For equipment that is critical for the process, ensure that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. Provides onsite / offsite technical support for deviations from this data if necessary. Ensures repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training are made available and documented. Provides technical support for specification, identification, and purchasing of required parts. Provides maintainability input into Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy. Lead process improvement projects from conception to implementation.  Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and identify issues that may affect quality.  Implement safety procedures and protocols to protect workers and comply with industry regulations.  Collect and analyze data from production processes to identify trends and make informed decisions. During development of turnaround work, provides input on development of work orders particularly on critical equipment requiring Engineering review or input. Collaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, such as cycle time, yield and scrap rate and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets. Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Lead process validation activities, including protocol development, execution and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Participate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive measures. Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.

 

 Skills That Make a Difference:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred). 2+ years of experience as a Process/Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis. Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
