Maintenance Engineer III
Manages PM work order software system and assigns work activity to appropriate maintenance staff and monitors completion rates. Requisitions parts and supplies for use by maintenance personnel using Purchasing System software. Supervise and assign work to maintenance personnel. Performs minor repairs to plaster and drywall wall surfaces. Completes minor painting jobs as needed. Performs minor building construction repairs. Performs minor repairs to Fire Alarm Systems. Performs minor repairs to Fire Sprinkler Systems. Performs minor electrical repairs (replaces switches, lighting fixtures, etc). Performs repairs to commercial plumbing systems, including domestic and building water systems and steam supplies (leak repairs, pump and motor replacements, piping and joint replacements, etc). Coordinates onsite activities of outside repair/construction contractors as needed. Completes repairs to common basic patient-care devices (beds, stretchers, overbed tables, patient recliners, etc). Supervises and participates in snow removal and lawncare activities for the hospital. Responds to work orders and completes in a timely manner. Documents work performed. Assists in developing departmental budget. Coordinates yearly testing of all back flow devices at all locations. Compile necessary information requested by state and federal regulatory agencies. Responds to emergency situations such as power failures and other utility system failures. Monitors Shared Services expenses and submits to CFO. Possesses basic operational understanding of common business software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc). Compiles utility bills for various buildings and allocate utility changes and turns into CFO. Read and copy blue prints and building specification manuals.
