Job Summary
The Level 3 Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all hotel equipment and systems. This includes HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Candidate will have advanced technical expertise, an initiative-taking approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
+ Advanced knowledge of HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
+ Understanding of hotel fire life safety systems
+ Excellent communication and people skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Certification in relevant technical fields (e.g., HVAC-R, electrical) is a plus.
+ Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy equipment.
+ Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
+ Able to assist in special events setup when requested.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Perform regular preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC-R, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
+ Work with venders on needed repairs or be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and disruption.
+ Collaborate with other maintenance staff when needed to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
+ Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
+ Able to use and understand hotel engineering preventive maintenance software and keep up to date.
+ Monitor and adjust building energy management systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
+ Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures and protocols.
+ Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff and assist in their professional development.
+ Assist engineering department as requested by Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer of Engineering Manager.
+ Ability to respond to emergency situations in the hotel.
