Position Overview:
We are adding a Maintenance Engineer who will be involved in all aspects of the maintenance department from install, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. In this key role you will work closely with the Operation Services Team to implement new process’, maintain equipment, and grow the business.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Trouble shooting process controls up to and including parameters updating. Diagnosing and repairing down equipment and escalating if equipment uptime goals will be impacted. Crafting standard work instructions, Project Manager task descriptions and problem-solving flow charts. Composing job plans which will include hazard evaluations, LOTO, material and labor estimates as well as equipment down time estimates. Review and update equipment and facility footprint and layouts. Advise management on recommendations for equipment improvement, modification, or replacement. Apply CMMS to supervise and report on equipment reliability and uptime. Track and update spare parts lists and verify availability of spares for critical equipment in the CMMS. Provide technical expertise, support and train the maintenance technicians.To thrive in this role, you have:
5+ years’ experience working in a production or processing plant. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field or 10+ years of relevant experience Must have CNC controls experience and be able to troubleshoot and update to resolve any problems. Ability to troubleshoot Equipment, PLC’s, VFD’s, and Servos via laptop. Must be proficient with 3-Phase power Highly skilled with the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop drawings, hydraulic diagrams, P&ID’s, PLCs and blueprints. An understanding of the components used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits. Mechanical experience with motion control components such as linear bearing, gears, and splines. Understanding of rectifiers and inverters. Experience with RTD’s, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and switches. Common instrumentation loop experience. Incremental encoders experience. with machine guarding safety components such as light curtains, laser scanners, safety switches, estops and safety relaysPhysical Demands:

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $89,300 - $120,900. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
