Maintenance & Engineering Intern

Primary Purpose

To experience Mountaire's culture first-hand and provide additional exposure of Mountaire's family-oriented work environment.  Fulfill all designated duties within each specialized area of operation for the duration of the internship. This program is intended to provide learning opportunities by working hands-on with mentors and completing assigned projects. Assist in Plant Layout Drawings. Assist and help in design of upcoming projects. Communicate with end users in the plant, engineering, safety, outside vendors to complete study and possible implementation of the project.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Completes assigned tasks identified by department mentor Attends semi-monthly seminar series Completes and presents summer project presentation Completes internship evaluations at weeks 5 and 10 Follows all company safety policies, standard operating procedure (SOP) regulations, as well as supports the Goal Zero mission statement AutoCad Design      Present ideas, be able to improve design based on feedback          Design Projects, be able to justify cost and paybacks     
 

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university Valid Driver's license Must pass the Mountaire Motor Vehicle Record check Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel Engineering Major AutoCAD experience required Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint      Self-Motivated
