Your Role:

 

At MilliporeSigma, as the Lab Maintenance Technician 1- 3rd shift, you are responsible for a wide variety of assignments from minor to moderately complex. Work may range from adjustment and minor repairs to assisting with the complete overhaul of heavy/complex equipment.

 

3rd shift – 9pm – 5:30am Complete all training objectives on time (Safety, SOPs, OJT).Ability to perform minor building and equipment repairs independently using a wide variety of tools and equipment. Performs weekly and quarterly generator testing, safety checks of fire extinguishers and safety showers. Operates autoclaves to dispose of lab waste. Completes work order request for various tasks, meeting room resets, creation of lab signage, changing ceiling tiles and other tasks. Tours facilities to conduct building mechanical system checks and documents accordingly.Corrects/reports unsafe conditions, blocked exits, fire hazards, uncontrolled water flow, etc..Responsible for the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of all documentation i.e. PM task sheets, work records, logbooks, etc., generated during the shift. Performs tasks in accordance with SOPs and regulations. Complies with company health and safety regulations and procedures.Performs duties independently with minimal supervision. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Physical Attributes:

Lifting up to 50 pounds.Wear PPE such as lab coats, shoe covers, gloves and masks.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in GxP environmentLab, clean room or mechanical experienceOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailKnowledge of applicable computer systems i.e. Excel, Word, etcAbility to learn new software for Work record completion / generationAbility to learn new software for Building/Environmental Management Systems

Pay Range for this position - $26/hr - $40/hr
