About the Role
As our Maintenance Excellence lead / Continuous Improvement Engineer, you’ll be the site lead for all things Maintenance Excellence—owning the ME framework, embedding best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that increase asset reliability, reduce downtime, and elevate team performance.
Duties
Lead the site-wide ME programme, championing continuous improvement across engineering and operations.Own the ME playbook and deliver structured Asset Care reviews, ensuring AM/PM practices are effectively implemented and sustained.Drive Focused Improvement (FI) to identify and eliminate recurring equipment losses.Embed Autonomous Maintenance (AM), empowering operators with ownership of basic care.Coach teams using Training & Education tools, such as Single Point Lessons (SPLs).Build and maintain robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems to extend equipment life.Support performance tracking post-project delivery and help teams embed changes for the long term.Uphold site compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental standards.Actively support our ‘Great Place to Work’ programme and champion Refresco’s values in everything you do.

About You
You're a driven, hands-on engineer with experience in maintenance, asset care, or CI roles, ideally within food or FMCG manufacturing. You understand how to combine technical rigour with people leadership to create sustainable, high-impact change.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
A strong technical or engineering background with maintenance/CI expertise.A passion for continuous improvement and a track record of delivering tangible results.Experience leading Asset Care programmes and driving cultural change in operational teams.Excellent coaching, communication, and influencing skills.A proactive mindset with a keen eye for root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
