The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Maintenance Fitter with strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive attitude. In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep our production lines running efficiently and safely, working on cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintenance & Repairs: Installs, services, and repairs mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with a focus on beverage production lines.
Machinery Operation: Handles high-speed packaging gear, carries out overhauls, shutdowns, and changeovers to cut downtime and boost efficiency.
Hands-On Skills: Uses hand and power tools, precision instruments, and welding gear for machinery fabrication and maintenance.
Safety & Compliance: Follows strict safety protocols, HACCP guidelines, and SOPs, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
Teamwork & Communication: Works closely with other fitters and sparkies to sort out faults and ensure smooth shift handovers.
Systems Knowledge: Keeps across key production and utility systems to support safe and efficient operations.
Collaborating with a supportive team, rotating across day and night shifts, including weekends
What You’ll Bring
Completed Mechanical/Fitter Machinist Apprenticeship and holds relevant Australian-recognised trade qualifications or Craft Certificate.
Skilled in pneumatics, hydraulics, tape measurement, and blueprint reading.
Experienced in welding (Stick, Tig, Gas) and heavy equipment manufacturing.
Knowledge of high-speed packaging machinery (e.g., SMI, Ocme) and rotary labelling machines (e.g., PE, Krones, B&H) preferred.
Familiar with high-speed bottling lines.
Demonstrates strong work ethic, safety commitment, and flexibility for rotating shifts.
