Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and work orders. Essential Functions: • Perform general maintenance projects as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, installations/repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal, and landscaping. • Respond to and complete resident work orders, ensure quality of service and resident satisfaction. • Perform work needed in relation to apartment turnovers. • Knowledge of all property emergency, safety, and disaster plans/procedures. • Respond promptly to emergencies and after hours calls. • Provide transportation for resident shopping. • Maintain office, shop, and storage. Responsible that mechanical areas are in accordance with SLC policies. • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements: Level of Formal Education: High School Diploma or GED Area of Study: General Years of Experience: Entry-level (0-3+ years) Type of Experience: Maintenance or janitorial Special Certifications: Valid Driver’s license and vehicle Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties. Technical Competencies: Equipment knowledge Skills and Ability: N/A Information Systems: Some computer work, TELS Personal Attributes: Professional and responsive to resident’s and staff needs and good communication and listening skills Other/Preferred: • Might be asked to respond to resident emergencies. • Might be asked some responsibilities of Up & About System.
