Job Details:
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for maintaining high production quality feed while ensuring the safest working environment possible.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Lead / guide team members in monitoring & required adjustments of production equipment to meet or exceed the Tyson standards.Be aware of production needs through the FOD requirements.Respond to production calls for maintenance, accessing needs, responses to resolve issues to minimize down time. Assist Supervision in monitoring your assigned technician’s workmanship, performance, quality of repair methods, while coaching, guiding & training in best practices.Be available offer support to unload Grain Trains throughout the weekend. Guide & lead your team initiating inspections.Record all your teams’ significant maintenance activity in the maintenance daily log communicating follow up requirements with supervisor. Work with supervision in creating an atmosphere of teamwork, cooperation and balancing of work load among team members.Set / maintain high standards of performance for yourself & team in productivity, quality workmanship, initiative & integrity.Lead safety meetings and assure team works safely within all Tyson policies for safety, hygiene, OSHA, EPA & ethics.Requirements:
Must have basic computer skillMust be able to communicate and work well with others. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Must have good written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated high level of mechanical / electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic skillsDemonstrated ability to perform maintenance & repairs on process equipment in assigned area Demonstrated initiative / high level performance in completion of maintenance activitiesAbility to lead, coach, guide & teach other team members in maintenance duties Must provide own small toolsOne (1) year of Industrial Maintenance experience required. Education (Industrial Maintenance Certification/currently enrolled in technical school) will be considered in lieu of experience).Rehire Consideration:
