The JBS Pork team is seeking maintenance mechanics.  Supervisory Responsibilities: No Duties/Responsibilities:  Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.Complete assigned work orders.Adhere to Safety Procedures including, but limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc.Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.Complete required paperworkAbility to communicate verbally and written in EnglishGoal oriented and possess root cause analysis skills.Ability to lead people toward achieving personal and plant results.Completes assigned responsibilities and oversees the mechanical work of equipment.Responsible for correcting or facilitating correctible measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.Processes maintenance downtime report for corporate and plant management. Assigns work orders or special projects to maintenance employeesMaintains department budget within specified guidelines.Conducts preoperational inspection and handles maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to make sure operation begins as scheduled.Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications.Industrial construction experience beneficial.Previous hourly maintenance and supervisor experience preferred.Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the building, mechanical and electrical trades.Previous mechanical and related experience required.Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.Tends to other duties as needed. Education, Experience, Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual (plus but not required) Technical schooling with mechanical or electrical emphasis helpful.High School diploma or equivalent required.Physical Requirements:  Lifting Climbing stairs  Working Conditions:     Production and maintenance settingsExposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knivesSlippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noiseAbility to work 50+ hoursGood attendance and safety records    The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:  Benefits:  Base Salary: $24.60/hour min -$35.45/hour max- plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential from 7a-7p  Health, Dental, Vision coverage begins after 60 days of employment  Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays  401(k): company match beings after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule Incentive pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and condition of the incentive program  Career Development: Our Company is dedicated to supporting professional growth by offering continuous learning opportunities and a focus on career growth through various learning and development programs. Short Term Disability  Long Term Disability JBS/Memorial Hospital Partnership On-site bank On-site cafeteria Employee Assistance Program Discounted meat sales   For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in states where it is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for any given position, compensation ranges are specific to those states and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role. This position does not have an application deadline.
