This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all aspects of the hatchery facility. Scheduled to work nightshift Tuesday and Wednesday from 9pm-5am and then on Saturday and Sunday 8pm-4am. Responsible for on call duties as required and all found problems repaired before finishing shift. Will conduct rounds of the hatchers and setters to proactively search out problems and troubleshoot and repair any problems found. Will also assist scanning eggs for the set crew and monitor the transfer process to ensure all equipment is operating properly. Responsibilities/DutiesConstruct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and componentsIdentify parts or machines needing new or replacement partsUtilize shop mathematics to complete assignmentsInterpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain or repair machineryRespond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identifiedCommunicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problemsPerform preventive maintenanceComplete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.Technical school preferred.Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including weekends and holidays)At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Willing and able to stand for several hours.
