Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Performs work related, but not limited to, electrical and electronics, machine repair, pipefitting, fabrication and welding, and HVAC systems.  Troubleshoots, installs, inspects and maintains machinery and equipment. Performs facility repairs in accordance with blueprints, manuals and codes. Performs and documents preventative maintenance tasks on various equipment throughout the plant in support of published schedules. Uses a variety of hand tools in performing plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electrical and machine repair. Operates a variety of power tools such as drills, lathes, welders, electrical and electronic test equipment and other tools common to equipment and facility repair. Performs a variety of miscellaneous facility repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, roof repairs, HVAC systems and structural work.  Applies knowledge of building and electrical codes and state and national safety standards. Maintains area, equipment, machinery and facility housekeeping and/or care as instructed. Must follow standard work to complete assigned tasks, have understanding of daily management, complete action plans as assigned, and participate in assigned Kamishibai audits.Accurately complete all documentation to comply with ISO, FDA or other regulations in accordance with GMP/GDP requirements. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED equivalent required.Must be a UAW Journeyman, or have eight (8) years of documented, verifiable experience, or successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.Working experience to a total of eight (8) years experience within one or more of the following skilled trades:  Electrician, Pipefitter, Welding and Fabricator, Machine Repair Person or HVAC Repair Person.Must be properly fitted and able to wear a respirator.Uses and/or applies all safety directives, regulations, and equipment provided for operations, equipment, machinery and work areas.Must be knowledgeable in the proper handling of chemicals and waste, both hazardous and nonhazardous, as defined by FDA, OSHA, EPA and DOT.Employees must be able to perform the essential functions unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation
