Maintenance Inventory Parts Clerk

Summary of the Position:
The Maintenance Inventory Parts Clerk is responsible for managing and organizing the inventory of spare parts and supplies necessary for the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.

Functions of the Position:

Maintains accurate records of all spare parts and supplies used in the maintenance department.Utilizes Express Maintenance database to track stock levels, monitor use of parts, and identify restocking needs.Collaborates with the maintenance team to determine the required spare parts and supplies.Ensures critical spare parts are stocked to minimize downtime.Initiates purchase requisitions, processes purchase orders, and follows up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts while maintaining cost-effectiveness.Receives incoming inventory shipments and verifies the accuracy of items received against purchase orders.Arranges and maintains an orderly inventory storage area to ensure easy accessibility and efficient retrieval of parts.Works closely with maintenance technicians to issue the necessary spare parts and supplies per maintenance requests.Conducts regular inventory audits of parts and supplies to ensure they match with records of physical stock levels.Identifies and investigates quantity discrepancies between stock, documentation, and inventory system.Performs other duties as necessary.

Continual Responsibilities:

Responsible for manufacturing, distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable in maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Responsible for complying with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.Responsible for supporting safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

Basic maintenance knowledge, i.e., knowledge of tools, parts, and materials.Proven experience as an inventory clerk or stock room experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Experience with a CMM system, including data entry and report generation.

Skills and Competencies:

Able to speak, read, and write English.Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers/department leaders.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software.Detail-oriented with good math skills.

Job Specific Requirements:
