Maintenance Lead (2nd Shift)

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Lead (2nd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $38.94 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

What you’ll do:

The Maintenance Team Lead is a working lead, who directs the assignments of the team to ensure goals are met. Wage for this role is Associate 4 plus a lead pay bump. Core hours for this position are on 2nd shift.
 

You will drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory (SQDCI).You will allocate associates to work based on need.You will work closely with Group Leaders and production support staff to resolve issues and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions. You will assist employees within the team with technical issues, and conduct trainings sessions covering specific areas such as on the job training, refresher training, etc. Facilitate continuous improvement activities.You will assure that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained and safely operated. Prioritize schedules for routine, reactive, and preventative maintenance needed.You will install equipment/machinery, as well as perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairs.You will operate a variety of lifts etc.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of industrial maintenance experience.High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institutionMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced skills in one or more of the following:  Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, PLC troubleshooting and repair.Experience in lean manufacturing.Associates degree from an accredited institutionExperience in metals fabrication.Working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling (lasers, powder coat, turret presses, dies, presses etc.) and product.Computer literate with Windows and MSOffice as well as industrial softwareExperience utilizing hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics and electrical schematicExperience with waste water treatmentExperience modifying or programming PLC’s and HMI’s 
 Skills:

Position Success Criteria: 

Perform critical jobs or tasks within the department to cover manning shortages as neededStrong technical background. Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and parts breakdownBasic skills in reading, arithmetic and writing in EnglishDexterity required for operating equipment, machinery, and computersAble to work in various locations including heightsUnderstanding of basic mechanical fundamentals and shop machine toolsFamiliarity with DC and AC power up to three phase 480 volt ACCapable of welding, pipe fitting, riggingCommitted to continuous learning and improvementAbility to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
